In a previous post I talked about when I was a child, I would ask questions of who created us, and who created the one that created us. The questions became unending as they started to unravel unto themselves. With every question, others came that would question those questions.
Until recently, the questions were constantly there and no amount of possible answers to the questions were satisfactory. In consulting my guru and meditating on those questions, I realize that the mind is very cunning in coming up with futile questions to keep itself occupied. At the end of the day, getting answers to those questions do nothing for us except keep our minds focused on something else other than living in the now.
Most of us have been taught that it’s all in the hands of the man upstairs. We project what we think God is or should be in order to be comforted in our seeming state of despair when we can’t explain things or need a way to make sense of certain situations. When I say we project, I mean that we give God personality – perfect, absolute, compassion, omni this, omni that. These are things that is used by every religion.
