In thinking on what to write the other day, intuition immediately jumped out at me. This is the process I go by when I do the post, by the way. I ask myself what to write next and whatever jumps out, wins.

Anyway, back to developing intuition. I want to first differentiate between knowing and knowledge. Let’s start with knowledge first.

Knowledge to me is very burdensome. I don’t know about you, but I’ve accumulated a lot of stuff in my head that really don’t do much for me in the day to day. Everything is more compartmentalized when you have knowledge of something. That thing is now put in a category. That’s how we build our reality, isn’t it? Our reality, our idea of truth, is filled with nothing but things that are separate. With knowledge, we have the object and the subject. We have a divide between the knower and the known and there’s really no way to create that bridge between the two.

I never really understood this, but what’s written in the bible is absolutely true that man has fallen through knowledge by eating from the tree of knowledge. One would say that knowledge is good but I believe that knowledge has created an unbridged distance. How can that be good? They mystery and wonder are lost when you think you know.

Let’s talk about knowing for a little bit. Knowing is wholeness. There is no division anywhere with it because it’s an experience. Knowing is a spiritual process. Without verbalizing or compartmentalizing you experience and that experience gives you the knowing, the ownership.

How does one develop intuition based on this little information about knowledge and knowing? The thing to remember is that you want wholeness. No more acquiring theories or information to further create divide in you.

I know that I don’t know it all. Anyone who does is foolish! There are so many things that we’ve not experienced and am in wonderment just thinking about it. This is where knowing lies, in mystery, in wonderment. I’ve been able to become a lot more open minded through meditation. In meditation there are no divisions, only mystery. Everything is whole through meditation because you are not accumulating knowledge; there are no divisions being created and formed.

If you have read my previous posts, you know that I put a lot of emphasis on meditation. I think it is the great equalizer to going back to being spiritual and bridging all the divisions that have occurred with us. It is something that I truly recommend that one does on a daily basis. There is no magic to developing intuition. You just have to get out of the head and into the heart and you do through meditation. So, go meditate.

Namaste!
