This is out topic of discussion of for today: Stop finger pointing and take responsibility!

Do you know that when you “point” that index finger, you have three other fingers that point back at you? And I don’t mean that just in the literal sense. Since I see you scratching your head, I’ll let you in on the figurative meaning of that statement and it deals with the law of attraction.

Where does the law of attraction come into play?

We are all made of atoms that are constantly radiating energy. That energy imprints itself on the fabric of the Universe/Spirit and brings us the circumstance/event/thing that we have been focusing with feelings on the most. I’m sure you’ve heard that thoughts are things and that energy follow thought. So, the more you think about something with feeling, the more energy that follows that thought, and eventually events, people, circumstances occur to crystallize what you’ve been thinking into the physical.

The Universe always brings you what you put out with feelings. It may not come in the time or fashion you want, but it comes. The reason why it may take longer is because we have seeds of doubt that slow its manifestation. The point is that you bring about all circumstances and events that take place in your life – knowingly and unknowingly. It’s up to you to learn the laws.

I’m sure some will ask about how people bring about tragic events in their lives. The answers to that are karma and reincarnation and they are pieces of the creation process that I will cover in another post that puts everything into balance and perspective.

So, let’s tie this all up within the topic of this post of stop finger pointing and taking responsibility.
If you accept the premise that we are responsible for everything that occurs in our lives, then it makes sense that you are the cause of your happiness or sadness, or your financial affluence or lack thereof, of even the current state of things in society.

To really be free is to accept total responsibility for it all. Anything else makes you reliant upon things that are outside of you. Having a “fall guy” allows you to dump your garbage on someone else. “I’m not responsible…so and so is the one. Or, such and such happened and that’s why I’m in this mess.” This kind of mindset disarms you completely and leaves you naked and powerless. Not feeling responsible for your actions, your being, or your thoughts makes you a slave.

You are waiting for something, someone, other than you to be responsible. How can you grow since you have not accepted the challenge? You are more powerful than you think, but you don’t even give yourself a chance because you’ve relinquished your power to destiny, fate, people and circumstance. Claim that power back – pull that energy back to you – by first claiming that you’re responsible and then accepting responsibility from that moment on.

Everyone loves stories! So, here’s mine and how I was affected and came to know this information. I went through a breakup a few years ago and it was a very painful affair. I’m not saying that I had an affair; just that it was a painful event. Anyway, I was able to get through it by doing a specific type of meditation. Through it all, I was able to really evaluate and see where things went wrong and what could’ve taken place instead.

It was in that time that I started taking responsibility for my contribution to the demise of my relationship. It was so empowering to pull that energy back into me. I was “bleeding” energy by giving that person and event so much influence. I felt as if I could not do anything and the more I thought about it, the more energy I gave it until it really felt as if that was the case. Remember I did say that energy follows thought. I changed my thinking and changed the nature of the energy that was going out.

This can be applied to any situation that you may currently be facing. Know that you are responsible and that first step will help you regain the energy that you think you were not able to control.
